Where a Rainbow Coalition
Like something out of Wonderland
Has miraculously appeared.
Its members of such quality
Spirits rose, the people cheered.
This ‘kinder, gentler polity’
Than this nation’s usual habit
Had been recently suggested
By one leader, Mr. Rabbit.
Now strangely he has protested
Such politics consensual
Are not appropriate in Oz.
Now it seems it is essential
To change his earlier view because
He feels his generosity
To some had clearly been abused.
So now he’s all ferocity;
Angry his offer was refused.
